The Realme 9i 5G is set to launch in India today. On its website, Realme has shared a link to watch the livestream. It has been confirmed by the company that the new phone will be equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 810 5G chip. Based on the advanced 6nm process, Realme claims the chipset is 20% faster than the D700 chipset. Poco M4 Pro 5G and Redmi Note 11T 5G are expected to compete against the upcoming Realme 9i5G.

Designed with a “laser light design”, the Realme 9i 5G features 8.1mm thick and will reflect light. An LED flash is seen on the back of the smartphone, along with a triple camera set up. A 5000mAh battery will power the phone, along with 90HZ refresh rates. Almost all smartphones launching today have a waterdrop notch on the top.

Realme 9i 5G price

Powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 810 5G chipset, the Realme 9i runs Android 9.0 Pie. There are no other details about the device at this time. On the basis of the spec sheet, the Realme 9i 5G could cost around Rs 15,000. In the base 4GB RAM and 64GB variant, the Realme 9i costs Rs 13,499 at the moment.

Realme 9i 5G specifications

On its main website, Realme has created a dedicated section highlighting the design and key specifications ahead of its launch.

As compared to the existing Realme 9i 4G, the new phone looks quite different. There are now three cameras on the back of the phone, which is now a unibody design. Gold is one of the colour options, but the company is adding other options as well.

A fingerprint scanner is also revealed on the side of the official poster. As with the iPhone 12 and 13, the Realme 9i 5G also features a flat-edge design. A 3.5mm audio jack and a USB-C charging port are located at the bottom.

However, there is still a waterdrop notch on the front panel, which is slowly becoming outdated on smartphones. Displays with a 90Hz refresh rate offer smooth scrolling, according to the company. Additionally, the viewing experience will be improved while playing games.

Realme claims that its upcoming Realme 9i 5G is ultra-slim, measuring just 8.1mm thick. Motorola is trimming down the thickness of their smartphones even though they are slimmer than most budget smartphones. In terms of thickness, the Moto G52 measures 7.99mm.
